External Metalwork

M-Tech Engineering has recently been involved in a domestic project located in the Chelsea area of London. This involved the design and manufacture of various bespoke external metalwork items, ranging from wall railings to an arch and lantern.

This project was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our manufacturing and precision engineering abilities beyond our usual staircase projects, supplying bespoke metalwork to this prestigious London property.

The property now benefits from having fresh new metalwork installed that also has a period correct design so it does not look out of place.

Project Summary

London Projects appointed M-Tech Engineering to design, manufacture and install a number of bespoke external metalwork to a prestigious London property. This included railings, gates, ladders, staircase balustrade, planters, cabin frames and doors, along with an arch and lantern.

M-Tech installed balustrade to the staircase that was cast in situ by others. The infill bars of the railings were resin fixed into pre-drilled holes in the staircase. This gives a much sleeker effect compared to having a bottom rail showing.

More railings were installed on top of the walls around the perimeter of the building, complete with decorative finials. These offer an element of security along with an aesthetically pleasing look.

All metalwork was powder coated in RAL9005 black to give the perfect finish to this high end London property.
