Project Summary

M-Tech Engineering designed, manufactured and installed a powder coated helical stair with frameless glass balustrade and timber handrails. The treads were subsequently stone clad by others to match the flooring.

The stair structure was made with steel, consisting of 300×10 dual stringers and 6mm treads that were laser cut in-house.

For the balustrade, 17.5mm laminated toughened glass was adhesive fixed into the powder coated stringers and fabricate channels. The frameless glass balustrade looks incredibly clean and flows all the way up the stair into the glass balustrade above. The balustrade is complemented by 60×60 European oak handrails that have been fully stained and French polished, giving a high gloss finish.
