Alto Bar – Bespoke Furniture, Metalwork & Feature Fabrication

Creating a memorable hospitality venue requires more than great food and drinks. M-Tech Engineering was appointed to design, manufacture, and install a range of bespoke metalwork features for Alto Bar, delivering tailored solutions that combined functionality, durability, and striking visual appeal.

Working closely with the project team, M-Tech produced a collection of custom fabrications that enhanced the venue’s distinctive industrial aesthetic. Every component was manufactured to suit the exact dimensions of the space, ensuring a seamless fit and premium finish throughout.

Bespoke Bar Features

The centrepiece of the venue is the bar itself, where M-Tech supplied decorative steel mesh inserts fitted in front of copper panels to create depth, texture, and visual interest. To achieve the desired appearance, each mesh panel was heat-blued in-house, producing a unique finish that complements the warm copper tones and industrial styling of the interior. The mesh was also designed to work alongside integrated LED backlighting, allowing the bar to become a standout feature both during the day and into the evening.

Custom Furniture & Feature Fabrication

Beyond the bar, M-Tech engineered a range of bespoke furniture and decorative elements to create a consistent design language across the venue.

This included:

✅ custom wine bottle and glass racks,

✅  steel column tables,

✅  bespoke trims to the staircases,

✅  decorative screens,

✅   and a purpose-built DJ booth.

The DJ booth was clad in copper with exposed rivet detailing, reinforcing the venue’s industrial character while providing a durable finish capable of withstanding regular use in a busy nightlife environment.

Balancing Privacy with an Open Atmosphere

One of the design challenges involved creating a VIP area that felt exclusive without disconnecting guests from the energy of the venue. M-Tech addressed this by fabricating robust mild steel frames to support toughened reeded glass screens. The textured glass provides a sense of privacy for guests while still allowing natural light and visibility to flow throughout the space, preserving the open feel of the interior.
