Project Summary: Bespoke Staircase & Balustrade Installation

In collaboration with renowned stone staircase specialist Ian Knapper, M-Tech Engineering contributed to the creation of a striking feature staircase within this bespoke project. The main stone stairs were expertly crafted by Ian Knapper, with whom we’ve proudly partnered on multiple high-end builds.

M-Tech was tasked with bringing the client’s balustrade vision to life. Using an inspirational image provided by the client, our design team developed a custom balustrade solution that not only captured the desired aesthetic but also adhered to strict UK safety standards. The result: a stunning installation composed of powder-coated mild steel laser-cut panels, paired with elegant chrome-plated brass handrails and base covers for a refined finish.

A secondary spiral staircase adds further character to the space. This stair features hand-cut central columns and mild steel handrails and spindles, all meticulously painted on site for a seamless, architectural integration.

Externally, we supplied and installed a frameless glass balustrade system, supported by custom-formed mild steel channels – galvanised and painted to match the building’s curves and exterior style. The clean, uninterrupted lines of the glass enhance the building’s modern edge while providing both safety and sophistication.
