Project Overview

Ealing Studios, one of the UK’s most iconic film studios, required a staircase that combined durability with a high-end finish to suit its creative and professional environment. M-Tech Engineering was commissioned to design, manufacture, and install a bespoke staircase solution that would bring both function and style to the space.

The Solution

The staircase was fabricated from mild steel, ensuring a strong and lasting structure. To enhance the visual appeal, the design incorporated:

→ Powder-coated balustrades for a clean, modern finish

→ European Oak treads with elegant brass inserts, creating a refined contrast between natural wood and metal accents

→ Matching Oak handrails for a cohesive and warm aesthetic

To meet the project’s specific requirements, the staircase was first constructed in our workshop. The stringers were cut into three sections, allowing for efficient transportation and installation within the studio’s layout. Once on-site, the stringers were re-welded and finished with in-situ spraying, achieving a seamless and polished appearance.
